Though it's well advertised, you still feel as if you are attending a friend of a friend's goth party. This is probably due to having made your way to the back of a building, up a flight of stairs, and across the roof into a separate space. Once inside there is a decent sized dance floor, large windows overlooking Wilshire, a dark lounge, and a rooftop patio. The dj was heavy on the VNV Nation and also played Combichrist, Wolfsheim, Wumpscut, And One, Funker Vogt, Depeche Mode, and similar artists. The darkened back lounge was screening a movie I didn't recognize and the front screen was playing David Lynch's Dune (one of my favorite movies). The turnout can see large crowds or not very many (as seen on a recent rainy Sunday). Those in attendance are fascinating-for example there was a man in a lab coat and clown mask in the corner punching the air for several hours. In the men's restroom there are many pleasant messages (my favorite was: "Dear Slut I Want It"). El Tauro, a delicious taco truck, is a (small) block away and open til at least 3 am, making a satisfying end to the night.

Great place for brunch on weekends with their bottomless mimosas. Definitely not your traditional brunch joint--dance music throughout. It's great for continuing your previous night's debauchery. The French Toast is definitely a great choice and the pancakes are awesome with the embedded chocolate chips. It's best if you make reservations since it gets pretty packed.
