Circle's kinda like crack, everyone's doing it but no one wants to admit it. Be warned because I don't think they've developed a patch to wean you off this stuff yet. Disclaimer: I'm a female of the Asian persuasion so my experiences here will be drastically skewed. Sadly, everything said below about harsh door policies is true. So be prepared! I believe ladies get in for free before 11PM? First stop is usually the mandatory $4 coat check. Yeah it's a bit much but c'mon folks were you really planning on dancing in your northface getup? If you're there before 12 the dance floor is usually pretty dead. Girls and guys separated on opposite sides of the dance floor like middle school but something magical happens at around 12. I guess it takes 1 hour for the liquor to kick in because that's when the party really starts. The guy to girl ratio is usually always in the guy's favor. One night there were so many hot girls there, I was even tempted to hit on one. Music is usually top 40, hip hop, and some kpop. I would keep your distance from the speakers as they do pump the music out at several decibels louder than necessary but I think this keeps the party going. By 1AM the dance floor is packed and this is when the girls are spilling drinks and the guys are extra touchy feely. Hopefully by this point you're liquored up otherwise you won't enjoy yourself. Drinks are pretty strong at this place and usually pretty pricey. If you give them your card they'll slap on an instant 20% gratuity so do NOT add extra tip. I've never bought a table but I have witnessed booking. I'm sure it would upset the feminists out there but I think it's funny. And girls you know you want some free drinks and to rest your feet, don't even lie. Some might complain about the shady men that frequent this club but be real girls, is this where you're coming to look for husband material? No, this place should be limited to free drinks, one-night stands, and rebounds only. I don't care what you do for a living, just keep the party going and don't talk.

I was really impressed by Martuni's, definitely not what I expected on my first visit. We ordered at the bar and proceeded to the back to have a seat at one of the tables. Dark , cozy, intimate atmosphere. There was so much talent in the room, the loved the performances.

We were trying to go to Publick House, but our friend didn't have his passport on him, and they wouldn't let him in. They suggested that we try across the street at Golden Temple. Sure enough, Andres was able to drink. I don't think they checked a single ID while we were there. They sure as hell didn't check mine. We went late, and just for drinks. It was a strange experience. The bar is neato looking, and behind it is a DJ booth taking up the middle of the room. (The DJ, by the way, was a little too creative. He mixed Beastie Boys with AC/DC. I couldn't quite get into it.) Below, there is a dance floor surrounded by tables, like the last wedding you went to. The ceiling over the lower part of the room is just WEIRD: it's got these pulsating red circles, and we were trying to decide whether it was more like being inside a cocoon or a human heart. Either way, it was disconcerting. Then, there's the crowd. There were lots of college-age women that were incredibly overdressed, college-aged men that were incredibly under dressed, some middle-aged men in suits, and lots of people in their mid-30s who liked like they had gotten a babysitter for the night and were ready to have some fun. My hunch is that the college girls go there looking for rich middle-aged men, and the college boys go there looking for the college girls. The rich middle-aged men, obviously, are drawn there by some unexplained force of nature. And the people in their 30s go there because they feel comfortable dancing in front of all the weirdos. It was just a strange experience. But I'm pretty sure I will go back there, because it's got AMAZING people watching!
