INT. CIRCLE NIGHT CLUB - NIGHT A large warehouse, gutted and transformed into a Korean night club. A packed dance floor is flanked by two upper level, VIP areas. JOHNNIE, 29, Korean finance extraordinaire, dressed to the nines on a Saturday, stumbles down the stairs from said VIP area. Black suit, black tie, black everything approaches SOO KYUNG, 19, Korean exchange student who is attending CUNY but not really. She is in a tight dance circle with two of her similar looking friends. JOHNNIE Yo! What's good ladies? You know you dig it. Why don't you and your friends come over to my table so I can douse you down with some Johnnie Black! By the way, my name is Johnnie! He cackles at his joke like a hyena. Soo Kyung doesn't budge and her friends give Johnnie a disgusted stare. JOHNNIE Come on yo, let's get a little dirty, I'll buy you 'tron on ice if that's more your flavor! Soo kyung murmurs in Korean to her friends as they all are obviously not digging Johnnie's vibes. JOHNNIE Oppa works in finance. SOO KYUNG You know I awesome my friends you too in danshing? Johnnie, a little confused, shrugs his shoulders and Soo Kyung goes home with Johnnie. SCENE

Another case of "over-hyping" myself before I tried it. My girlfriend and I tried the Japanese Seaweed Salad, Buri Kama, Lobster Salad Roll, and the Spicy Dragon Roll. None of the dishes were that great. The Buri Kama was tough to eat and pick with our chopsticks. The salad was very sour. I probably would not come here again.

My friend just moved to this part of Greenpoint and introduced me to Onyx saying "Yay, there's a beer garden in my neighborhood!" The interior is a swanky bar and in the back they have a great patio with lots of tables. We got borscht with sauerkraut and mushroom pierogis ($4.95). Everything tasted really freshly made. We also got Polish beer ($5). It was pouring out but the bartender/waitress was really sweet and came outside to serve us under the umbrellas. I'll definitely be back!
