Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. I bought tickets (not cheap ones either) to the Wu-tang Rebirth tour at Mezzanine last week granted I guess we're not what the stereotypical Wu-tang fan looks like, but we love their music and were especially excited to see the Jacka again, so we had no problem waiting an hour in line, in the rain with our pre-purchased tickets. Once we got to the front of the line I was let in, another person in our group was let in and then my partner was singled out by security and denied admission. When we asked security why, they simply said it was their discretion to refuse service to anyone. After trying to get security to reconsider letting us in (after they realized I was with my partner they pulled me out of the entry way and kicked me out as well) they said it was my partners fault that we were denied admission. When we asked to at least be refunded they told us it was the ticket hosting website that would refund us not them. The next morning I called http://Eventbrite.comto figure out how to go about receiving a refund, they gave me a case # and told me to email Mezzanine(who has yet to respond to anything I've sent them or return any of my calls). Today I called Eventbrite back to follow up on the situation, they said they would send an email on my behalf but if Mezzanine didn't respond that there is nothing else I can do. It sucks that I was refused entry for no reason, and then couldn't even get an email in response to my request for a refund. I had never been to Mezzanine before and was excited to see that there were a lot of interesting acts that I wanted to go to, but it disappoints me to see how they discriminate against certain guests.

So I have to admit, I was pretty happy when I came here at the time. I mean, it was the night the Red Sox clinched the AL East, and EVERYONE was PAAAAAAAHTING. I've never seen so many Red Sox fans in a club at one time. They were already shit faced, so the pandemonium had already begun. So, at first glance, the drinks look awesome. Frozen margaritas, what's not to like?? Well, let's see, it's $8.00 for a long tube that has, hmmmmm probably less than ONE shot of tequila. Good thing I had that butterball shot beforehand. They definitely know how to rape their patrons when it comes to the prices. The music is alright. In a drunken stupor, every kind of music sounds amazing. The patrons, a little good, a little bad. We were all amped up because of the Red Sox, but there were still some creeps around. I'd be afraid to come back on a non-Red Sox game night though... So, in conclusion, the only way I'm coming back here is if I was already sloshed to hell....
