I have been here a few times... once I was working directly next door at the Fashion Cares event. Their Valet is amazing. So prompt, and always kind. I had a massage done at the Bliss Spa upstairs with Monica and she was absolutely amazing. She made me feel like a total diva. I had been in a wreck a couple months prior, and she got out all the aches and pains. It was wonderful. I will definitely be going back again and again. W Hotels are supposed to be upscale, and treat you well. No matter who you are or what you look like. I realize I am young and many young people don't have the dough. But this hotel treated me like a total princess, unlike the W Hotel in midtown which isn't so hot.

I went here after attending the rateclubs event at Rosewood to meet a friend for another rateclubs-advertised event featuring Satoshi Tomiie, a world-famous house musician (please let me know if there is a better way to express his profession). I am not familiar with house music, but once I got in, I noticed that style of music from my memory back when I was still a college student. The bar was spacious enough for several dozen people, but is probably small for more than that. I'm not sure the four-large-speakers-on-corners-setup is the default, but that setup is nice so people could feel the beat like the air. As a matter of fact, since I'm not used to go to a house music club, that "air" was somewhat suffocating to me at the beginning. I got used to it though. People became much more alive once Satoshi Tomiie started his art. I don't know how else to call it, given how the visual effect and the music combined to create that amazing atmosphere. Because I was a little tired from dancing at Rosewood, I had to go home around 12:30 a.m., but am still glad to experience such art form.
