by Amado Ruggeri on 2 stars and I'm being kind of generous. I came here for Dine About Town earlier in the year and the food was less than forgettable - it was disgusting. I think I had chicken which was dry, made my mouth feel like parchment, and the waiter was in such a hurry to set it down and move on that he slopped it all to one side of the plate. Don't remember the appetizer. or the dessert. Like I said, forgettable. The performances were less forgettable than the food (thank God) and that is part of the reason I gave it 1 star. The girl pole dancing on a swinging pole was pretty entertaining, as was the belly dancer that lit fire everywhere. The bobble heads with japanese haircuts that I think started stripping halfway through the act were not entertaining, especially when the wigs started flying off. The opening act with a man dancing behind and interacting with an illuminated screen was pretty neat. Other than the performances and the white beds, I really didn't like the place. I've come here for just drinks before and that was a lot better. Not my type of music though. Somehow this year I ended up buying a groupon for dinner for 2 here with my friends. It'll be fun because i'll be going with my friends, but the food is definitely NOT something I'll be looking forward to.
by Frank W. on Dante's is a staple in ATL. The owner usually comes and makes his rounds to the tables. It's a bit dated of a restaurant, but the pirate theme inside is top notch in-store design. This is a great place for live jazz as well as good fondue (Asian style with peanut oil). Dante's has been a staple on the Atlanta scene for a long time, since the 70's I believe. It does have a lot of flair. If you are into jazz, theme restaurants and fondue, or any two or three of those, it's a great excuse to go!
by Jerrold Matuseski on WOW! What a great idea, Jello shots at a bar? and great prices, 4 yummy vodka jello shots (or Tequilla for the daring) for only $10! Don't forget to tip the hardworking bartenders. Bathrooms are small, but his and hers. The dance floor is what really makes the experience. Go on a night when there is a DJ and bring a group of friends. High definition TV's (with the 007 movie, not bad!) and great decorations. Considering a weekend destination to kick a few back? This is the place to go. No hesitation.
