by F J. on A bit pricey - if you're a real gamer, put yourself down for the guestlist and get here before 11 pm. I like the place a lot but I haven't been back for several months. Something about the vibe/price probably irked me a little - Temple does a lot of things right - they even ported the "chill room" concept to the white room - and I have always found a decent mix of people/great mix of dance music... but everytime I go, I'll find myself in that outside smoking area that is barricaded in and think that the owners need to do something out here. There's a decent amount of space outside and all kinds of cool setups could happen. And then I remember... This place is never "packed" when I go... there is a slight "elite" sense that goes alone with being at Temple, and I think that pushes some people away from the venue. Sure I don't like super-crowded spaces but I definitely remember waltzing into the so-called VIP area more than once because there were so few people around no one even cared. Great music and venue space, but sometimes the attitude of Temple is just off.
by Jettie Beere on I find the food at Django to be a little hit or miss (the fried calamari with spicy sweet sauce drizzled over it is my favorite, but can be a little tough). But the cocktails at this gypsy themed bar are usually on the mark and atmosphere is very unique. Downstairs a DJ spins on the weekends, while upstairs you'll occasionally find live jazz. And every once in a while the owner's mom will set up shop and tell fortunes for a quarter.
