by Eldridge Beetley on First time here tonight. Came in with Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as part of a fundraiser bar crawl; I'm also a Sister but was not "in face" tonight. It wasn't that crowded but there were patrons surrounding the bar. Took about 5 minutes to get attention of bartender who was busy doing nothing walking behind the bar but not actually doing anything. Waved my $5 and asked for one of the $3 bud light tall cans they had advertised on a few signs. Bartender said that they just iced them down so they weren't cold. I asked him what other beers they had; he replied "you can have a cup of ice with it." I replied "what other beer do you have?" he just turned around an walked away ignoring me. Crap attitude and pretentious doesn't fly. I was there to support this Wednesday night event "Whatcha doing Wednesday" which is intended to help bring people out during the week to spend money in such a crap economy. Well, Trigger fails on that count; I'll spend my money elsewhere.
by Jennifer R. on Thanks to the hotel concierge's suggestion, we headed to South City Kitchen for lunch because we wanted to enjoy some "southern hospitality" while in Atlanta. Off the bat, I knew we'd like this place because at the door, under the Best of the City and Zaget stickers, they had the "people love us on rateclubs" sticker... We sat at the bar because the wait for table was about 20 mins. What a coincident, the bartender was originally from Miami and we chatted up with him for a while... what a small world. We started off with the fried oysters appetizer; I had the Carolina Chicken Bog and the BF had the amazing Smoked Beef Brisket sandwich, suggested by the bartender. We were so full that we had to skip dessert - oh how I wish I had room for the Pecan Pie... It was the best meal we had in Atlanta.
by Rick Molfetta on I've been here twice. Great crowd (sarcasm). Im no brad pitt but I usually get some love at clubs...not at 181. I approached this one girl, pretty cute, got shot down right off the bat. Now this happens every now and again especially if the girl has a boyfriend or is satisfying her inner bitch. But the kick in the nuts comes about 2 min's later when some dude in a fur coat (and ppl you know how hot it get's in there) and sunglasses (your douche bag meter should be going off right now) introduces himself to her and he gets love. Like I said great crowd...keepin it classy i guess?
