by Rachel B. on I went back to Brunos last night for the first time in years with one purpose in mind: TO EAT! Brunos? Good Food? I know, I know. For those of us who knew the old Brunos, it doesn't necessarily conjure up the idea of culinary deliciousness.... or at least it didn't. But that has all changed now that the gang who made those amazing po'boys, gumbo, buttermilk biscuits, collard greens and more at Broken Record have found their new home there! Very exciting for Brunos ... and for us! And that's why, after 3 months and 3 weeks after the birth of my first child, I chose Brunos as the place to go for my first, fun dinner out with a good friend!! And wow was it worth it!! The gumbo is amazing, the grits are cooked to perfection, the shrimp po'boy brings you back South for sure ... and the churros are absolutely incredible. GO! EAT! BRUNOS!
