Another club with the same atmosphere as most other clubs here. Roped off VIP seating and VIP seating not roped off. A dance floor thats not really a dance floor as much as open space. Why wont atlanta clubs put a focus on the dance floor and sound system. I remember a club up north that installed a 100k watt sound system and the doubled it a few years later. They also play the same cookie cutter music as all other clubs here. Remixed pop, a house song or two, a rock song or two, a medley of hip hop. Sound system is pretty good but the better sound is off to the side of the "dance floor" where the actual speakers are located. Cover was cool, $10 for me and the wife at 10:30 or so. Drinks are $11. Atl standard. At least they didn't kill us with a $20 cover. However, you have to pay $10 to park right in front of the club, on the clubs lot! So in essence, we still paid $20 going in. Not sure of the cover later in the night. Will we go back? Maybe. There was a very friendly bouncer who didn't mind if we sat in the non roped "reserved" seats. Seemed like they asked people to get up only to make the " dance floor" look crowded. Anyway, not too bad for Atlanta. Nightlife sucks generally in Atlatna due to cookie cutter dj's! They are all the same!

I've been to Rassela's probably 4 or 5 times and I've always had a nice time. Sometimes I've thought it was a little pricey for the drinks, but the live music has always made it worth it. One time, a friend of a friend had rented out the back room. Rassela's is a solid choice, especially if your familiar with the live act scheduled for the evening. Like Boom Boom Room, I like this place, but only head here when I'm with people that appreciate what it has to offer. For me, that make it a variety choice and not a mainstay . . . Perhaps if I had cooler friends it would be different . . .
