by andrew m. on First, I have to reply to Jasjot's bizarre comment about the food at Phoenix Landing - I've eaten there a few times and thus actually have grounds to comment. The sandwiches are tasty and the fries are good, exactly what you need before an afternoon kickoff or after a few too many. Its a pub, it has pub food and they do it better than most places I've been in Boston or Cambridge. The true virtue of the Phoenix Landing is that it is the best place to watch a football match around Boston. Great atmosphere, big screens and projectors, and knowledgeable fans. Proper pub beer selection (nothing special but plenty of decent choices). It does get crowded for big matches, especially the later stages of the Champions League so if you're worried about getting a seat arrive early! Don't quote me on this, but it seems like there are more Arsenal fans than any other EPL club. That said, there have been plenty of fans of other clubs.
by Crysta Turiano on I have no desire to ever go back to a lounge that is in K-town. I already knew I wouldn't like it...even though I vaguely remember coming here years ago. The entrance is sketched...but the inside is actually quite decent. Music is a complete buster.... i do like the fact that they serve you fruit at the table... other than that... i shall pass on this place. I asked for my lychee martini extra strong... and you guessed it.. tasted like a grapefruit juice box (such a thing exists). Not to say I disliked it.. just another reason why I don't order those type of girlie drinks.
by Anya Shummon on Drunken rateclubs! What a fucking cool space! Except for the meanie bartender with tattoos all along her back (wearing a shirt to display this fact) who screamed at me that she'd already explained that they had vanilla Stoli and Grey Goose WHICH SHE DID NOT (or if she did it was too loud to hear, and hasn't she ever heard of the Golden Rule? Shit). My friend only tipped you $1, biatch! How about THAT?! But yes! Neato space! Wish I had stayed longer at the Laughing Squid party tonight! Woohoo!
