by Yvonne N. on I've got nothing but LOVE for Boulevard3; they provided the best of the best to remind me why clubbing in LA is so much more intense than clubbing in SD! -Sexy, legit gogo dancers that get the entire stage, front and center and even a spotlight! These girls dance their BUTTS off..my girlfriends and I were so enticed, we spent a good 10 minutes just standing there watching when we first walked in. -Cheap bottle service!! For a group of 12, we got two bottles (Goose and Henny) for $600 before tax and gratuity, $720 including. -Attentive hostesses. Ours was even ready to hand us a napkin to spit out our gum! -Great music. I can't comment too much because it was a blurry night and music is one thing cameras can't capture. -Sophisticated and modern decor/ambiance both inside and out. Their goal is to make you feel like you're at a private party at home and they accomplished that goal. The minute I walked through the door, I was impressed. The trees in the courtyard are covered in luminescent butterflies, the walls are all white so the neon lights make them glimmer brightly, there are even couches outside the bathrooms! -Quick and attentive staff. There was already barf on the floor when we went to the bathroom at midnight but the staff was quick to clean it up. The only complaint I have is that they only have two bathroom stalls. Ummmm...two floor club, crowds of drunks on the dance floor and in the huge courtyard outside....and only two bathrooms? That's gunna cause some problems... Oh! And one more positive..the hot dog stand outside that's waiting for your drunk ass when you're done clubbing and waiting for your limo to pick you up!!
by Cherelle Prince on Somehow ended up at Rise after a night at other clubs. Rise is a really surreal place. It's not that big. It's not that nice. It was straight night, and the girl-guy ratio was still pretty low. A few guys here and there just chillin shirtless with shades on and some energy drink in hand. Again, this is straight night. The music is really not that great. I like house and trance too, but they were playing some really industrial music. Wasn't much of a crowd, the 2 levels were kinda weird. $20 cover for bad music and just awkward crowd? i'd say if you come, you might as well come to gay night. I've never been to gay night, and am straight, but hopefully it's more straight up crazy and more poppin and more worth your money than the kinda boring weirdness of straight night.
