Dante's is a staple in ATL. The owner usually comes and makes his rounds to the tables. It's a bit dated of a restaurant, but the pirate theme inside is top notch in-store design. This is a great place for live jazz as well as good fondue (Asian style with peanut oil). Dante's has been a staple on the Atlanta scene for a long time, since the 70's I believe. It does have a lot of flair. If you are into jazz, theme restaurants and fondue, or any two or three of those, it's a great excuse to go!

I'm determined to have my skull gold plated when I cark it! Maybe I can arrange a special spot for it to nestle on the walls of the Gold Bar...so I can listen to the awesome chill out beats the DJ spins... If only I can work out a way to stop people from kissing my skull and give me a puff of their ganja instead!

The Improv was my first comedy club experience EVER, and it was so much fun. We got there early, and we were hungry, so we ended up having dinner there. Despite the somewhat pricey menu, the food was delicious (I ordered the chicken flautas). The drinks are pretty strong, but I'm not complaining. The show was hilarious, although there were a couple of comics that were kinda off. I was even surprised to hear a bit about Filipinos (the audience was predominantly Hispanic), but even with all the Spanish-speaking comedians, I haven't laughed as hard as I did that night in a long time.
