Other reviews complaining of watered-down drinks is not a joke. We ordered Grey Goose/Redbull (which was $10+$3 per drink), and it seriously had very little vodka. From that point on, we only ordered beer. I can't believe they can get away with this practice of ripping off customers.

Probably one of the coolest and most eclectic, er, bars in the City. When the weather is nice, its a great place to head and enjoy a couple drinks. It also helps when you get invited to private parties here because the drink selection is better and you can wander around the Frying Pan itself. Not to mention, when I've got a couple cocktails in me I'm less likely to think about the fact that I'm walking around a boat that spent a good part of its life at the bottom of the Chesapeake.

So it seems that everyone here is reviewing the vault rather then Element. I will continue that tradition. I headed to the Valut for one of their BOOTIE NYC mashup thingamados. I arrived early because I'm old and cheap (5 dollars before midnight is a good deal). The place was empty and convered in little tea lights and hersey candies. There are cushions benches all over the place and the ceilings are low but since I'm short, its fun being able to finally think to myself that I could, if I really wanted to, jump up and touch the ceiling. It's the small ego boosts in life that matter. Since the Vault is a converted bank (and the Vault is in the basement where the vaults use to be - clever no?), the place is well laid out. The bar is far from the dance floor and separated by a large area to sit, lounge, relax, and get your chat on. The sound system is great - not too loud but not too quite either. The bar had some good specials but, like everyone else said, a 50 dollar credit card minimum is ridiculous. Credit Card processing is not that expensive people - learn to live it and love it. All in all, the Vault is a fun little place but can anyone tell me about the guy in the rug who was at the bar? He was rolled up with a little airhole cut out and he would just lay there and want people to stand on him. I'm guessing it's a fetish thing but yeah. I dunno. People are weird.
