The velvet, the margaritas, the Elvis, the Spanish movies, the black and silver pinatas....great atmosphere that's a leetle different than the ubiquitous 1970's red vinyl booth fake wood formica table top Mexican places (not that I don't like those). The $5 margaritas are actually really tasty and about the best deal in Hollywood--maybe I've gotten lucky, but they're always mixed nice n' potent for me! Mmmm. The food is good, but not a revelation or anything...but mostly holds its own. Plus the fancy 3-tier chip-dip thingy is pretty cool. AND there's a smoking patio out back, for those of you who have a penchant for possibly unhealthy but strangely addicting habits.
by Tamra Dermott on A club to me is what you make it and who you are with and the music. Me and a dozen of us went here and had absolutely a great night. The people their were very friendly and the drinks werent that expensive.
