by Ali H. on Was told that I had to go when I moved to Miami. This was very different from my bar experience in my native Boston! Pubs vs Clubs is the best way to describe the two. Mangos was fun and touristy. I definitely wouldn't go on a regular basis, but I think it's a Miami must-see. It's unique and something that you won't forget. The drum players were awesome. The band was decent; they at least played something to dance too, but it wasn't techno club music, you could salsa! I went with two girlfriends and we had a good time. Probably stayed to watch the sights for about an hour and had a drink or two each. Didn't really go into the other rooms. Mangos is all about the main downstairs area anyway. Paid a $5 if I remember correctly..not bad. The crowd wasn't too wild either which I liked; no one trying to just get up on everyone. Lol. It's a place to watch the spectacular really. I give thumbs up :)
by Angel Finnen on I've only been here a handful of times but they were all memorable. My top one is when I went to see Mstrkrft a while back. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to see Boys Noize =*( (oh well next time for sure). The size of this place is just right, not super big or small. There's decent sized bar and good sound system. Every time I check out their site to see who's going to play there, I'm always surprised at the lineup in a good way. A great place to dance to techno and see great dj's.
by Gary Barletta on Only after-hours spot in West Hollywood. The vibe is great, DJ plays all genres - more dance music than everything is though, drinks are average priced. The most important reason why I like this place are the go-go dancers... yummmmm! And they are VERY comfortable with themselves and in no way are they shy. Basically, if you are around the bars in the area and just isn't time for you to leave... this is the place to be! =)
