My new fave and i have a feeling i will be moving in. i love the vibe and decor and the entertainment, They serve bubbly and other fancy drinks too. Finally a beautiful place to lounge at in Austin.
by Stephanie J. on so i brought my parents and sister - the out-of-towners - to Aja for buckhead restaurant week, thinking it'd be a fabulous place to dine, and while the food was okay, i was more than disappointed with the service. we sat at the table for almost two hours as each course was brought out like molasses. we were so hungry by the time each course came that we gobbled it down in 10 minutes, only to wait another 30 for the next course to come out. we even ordered an item off the menu in addition to our restaurant week set menu, which never made its way to our table. our server simply forgot, and offered no explanation, just quickly and quietly removed it from the bill. no apologies for being a crappy waitress, and no apologies for moving slowly. she came by maybe twice throughout the whole meal, and never asked how our food was. and truthfully, it was just okay... i would have told her that if she had spent more than two minutes at the table. the final straw was at 9pm when we were ready for the check (our reservation was for 7pm), because we hadn't been served our final dessert course. we were about ready to walk out when they brought out four dessert dishes, forgetting my mother's order... we paid the bill long before the last course, took two bites when it finally arrived and left out of sheer impatience. i'm already over this place, even during restaurant week, the time of year when restaurants typically go above and beyond to entice you back someday... oh well.
