I am a fan, but not for the food. I'll be there for the strangely expansive and personal ambiance only a 10,000-square-foot former taxi garage can give. Maybe a bite on something (wood-oven pizza? Maybe) and sips of something, something. I'll converse with you, looking at you, paying attention. But, once and many times, we'll keep quiet and soak in.

We're lucky to have this place in Austin. The food is ALWAYS impeccable and seasonally appropriate. They know how to put together a great cheese board. I get Leah as a waitress every time I've been, and even though I do consider her a friend, I can seriously put aside my bias and say that she does a FANTASTIC job of serving-- suggesting the best drinks and food items-- and I completely trust her to pair a wine with my food. LOVED the creme brulee flambe. The salads are fresh and unique. The drinks are crazy and yummy. They made room for us on a busy Saturday night... what a feat! I also love the decor, inside and out. Hands down my favorite restaurant in this city.
