by Emilee Bouza on I really had a blast at this club...but honestly it was because of who I was with that just added to the already stimulating environment. The drinks were good, but typical NYC prices. Cover charge was $5 for women, $10 for men...with that you got 5 tickets to play games...which was ok, except most games took 4 tickets to play...so what to do with the extra ticket?? Except buy more tickets! (Which were quite expensive...). Lots of games to play though, candy for sale, spiked snowcones. The club was fun. The crowd mostly in their 20s. Overall a fun time, something a little different....
by Tonie C. on We had a great time at Mayes the other night. They were very accommodating of our large group and the owner (or manager?) even checked on us a few times. The bartenders were really friendly too. The $1 happy hour oysters were great; the other appetizers were all good too. We didn't order any entrees. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the DJ plays non-stop rap. After a while it just felt like one continuous song, so we left.
