Ladies are free sun night but the line and wait is extremely long. fri ladies free till midnight then its $20. on fri it usually takes a while for the club to fill up. velvet room is a nice sized club. they dont have any drink specials like most spots do. i went there a few times and when i was there a few celebs popped in (jermaine dupri, nelly, usher). overall nice clubbin spot that plays hip hop music.
by James Berfield on My roommate suggested this place for my birthday and it was awesome. I'm an old soul and I love that they have classic east coast flavor drinks like Sidecars and Manhattans. And the food was super decadent. Have you ever had scallops tops with fresh crab and hollandaise sauce? It is AWESOME! My mouth actually waters just thinking about it. I wish we didn't completely crash after too much food and super good drinks, I would have loved to dance downstairs after our meal because the music was really cool too. However, what the others say is true, the crowd is too yuppy. If you can have a good time on your own, it's totally worth it. But if Marina folk make you vomit, pick another place because they do infect the awesome rooftop deck.
