You must come here if you're in South beach Miami. It's super cheesy but it oozes Miami. Toned beautiful bodies in skimpy neon colors, fish nets and furry go-go boots. The bartenders often take turns dancing. So they are dressed really skimp as well. Or is that miami in general? I dunno. The girl dancers sometimes cross the boundaries of looking sexy and looking like a strippers. The guys are buff and very serious about their dancing to a point you're questioning their orientation. The best dancing I saw was from the couples who did tricks. Now THAT was worth watching. If you're there for a special event make sure to tell one of the workers so you can get special treatment!

Been here twice for the L'effleur des Sens burlesque show. The show is entertaining, very erotic and adorable all at once! They switch up performers, so you're never going to see the same performance twice! My favorite girl wasn't there (the short red haired one)!! Alas, the show was still wonderful and i'd definitely go back. As for the venue, there was miscommunication between our party and the doorlady. She requested an additional $10 (on top of our $25) to get booth seating. Later on it turned to an extra $15. We were escorted to our table and the people there were moved over to the booth. My first thought was they just got upgraded for FREE....wth??? While we would have had to pay and extra $15 to get the upgrade. Seemed really unfair that they'd be seated there, while 11 girls were crammed at an 8 seat table. :/ So....in conclusion....show=awesome. service=TERRIBLE. Go for the show, and don't expect them to treat you better unless you're willing to fork up extra $$$.

Ah, The Cat Club. It's much more than 1984. But since everyone one else here is talking about that, I'll start there. 1984- While I enjoy 1984 in small doses, it gets a lot too much like a frat party to me these days for me to be able to stay for long. Go from 9-11pm when there's plenty of room to dance and if you get there before 9:30... free! You can't beat free. It's one of the most fun nights in town until it gets too crowded later in the evening. Drunken Monkey/Sinister Swing- Every Tuesday. I've reviewed both of these events (that happen concurrently) under their own heading. Please see their individual posts for more. Gossip- Gossip is akin to New Wave City. It's on the second Saturday of every month and it's totally fun. Fabulous people, reasonably crowded dance floor (which is to say there's other people on it, but there's not so many that there's no room). Then there's all sorts of various and a sundry nights. I don't know enough about them to speak in depth on them, but I encourage others who are aware of these nights to speak up! Let your voice be heard. :-)
