MJQ is my favorite place to cut a rug. You never have to deal with judgmental wallflowers who come to the club to be seen in their best outfits. In fact, I'd suggest wearing something you could care less about smelling of smoke and sweat. The variety of music here is always incredible. I love the energy of the crowd. This is truly a "let-it-all-loose" venue where you can be as rhythmless as you please. An underground gem among all of the stuffy lounges that dot the city. Minus one star because their cheap liquor always makes me ill. Drink beforehand or stick to bottled beer and you shall be fine.

First impressions mean a lot, and we were 10 minutes late. The moment we arrived the front desk person rudely said "your late, follow me", I tired explaining that we tried calling, we were stuck in traffic, but they don't answer their phone after 7PM, so there is no way to let them know you are going to be late. This person was just as rude to the prior guests as well. The server showed us to our bed, and being the first time we have been there we had no idea what to expect. There is not a sense if this is your first time, to know what to expect. Unfortunately the person seated next to me has never heard of a shower...but after the first shot it all seemed good. We had an open mind, tried putting the initial greeting behind us, and proceeded to enjoy ourselves. The wait staff was entertaining and friendly, the entertainment was good. I would eat a light snack, it is a four course meal but small portions and set menus. The appetizer was three small crabcakes, followed by soup served in a dog bowl, we were'nt sure what the meat/main dish was but the desert was good. It is a place you would want to take friends to our out of town guests, as it is a very interesting experience. Loved the DJ and dancing! I am not in a rush to go back anytime soon, we dropped $250 on dinner and drinks (and yes they were watered down we felt) -- I would rather spend the money on an establishment that values their customers quite honestly.
