by Luther Ishmon on DO NOT USE THIS VENUE! I hosted a large-scale event here recently. The general manager and security guards were incredibly disrespectful to our guests. They held women (I say women because all men were allowed inside) outside in the cold for over an hour because they "appeared too intoxicated" yet had no means of proving this claim. Furthermore, the bouncers manhandled several women, grabbing them by the arms to literally put them in their place. In addition, the general manager verbally insulted several people and accused others of lying. Even if the staff hadn't been horrific, the venue itself is nothing to write home about. It is small, awkward, and poorly configured. Don't waste your time here- unless you enjoy being insulted by men with napoleon complexes.
by Kendall Konik on Great gelato, great locations. The one I went to is located right on Penn campus, about two blocks from my apartment. It's also next to a Jimmy John's. Tasty treats together can't be beat! Capogiro's gelato is very, very good. The flavors change every day (be sure to check out the website and specify which location you frequent to see what they're serving that day) and they range from classic creamy and fruity to more exotic flavors like sea salt. The scoopers (?) are very generous with giving away samples, which does hold up the line a bit, but I guess it can be forgiven. I ordered the hazelnut and the Italian chocolate chip. I was also looking into the Nutella but it was so incredibly rich, I didn't know if I'd be able to eat a whole serving. The Thai coconut milk could use a little more touch of coconut. I'd really like to try the Burnt Sugar flavor - advertised as tasting like the top of a creme brulee. Delicious! I also love that they have a full bar.
by James s. on celebrated an expensive 21st birthday over here and it was quite awkward for a straight guy myself being offered drinks and getting hit on by really professional guys... the likes of doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc good place though and nice drinks
