by Bernardo Streu on Music=decent Drinks=terrible and expensive Cover charge=seriously? There's a cover. Lame. Clientele=a little too young and annoying. Basically, I will only go here if forced to. Put a few drinks in me and I may forget about the annoying people, crap drinks, and redic cover.
by justin g. on So I have been contemplating on my 100th review so here it goes. cue the music..... http://www.youtube.com... So after getting a call from a friend from out of town saying he was gonna be in SF for a conference, I met him up after work. Drove all the way down to the city. traffic wasn't too bad at 830 so a good 45 minutes. Minna Gallery wasn't too hard to find. Luckily I found a spot right in front of the gallery and didn't have to walk. The outside of the gallery looked like a typical SF alley, very narrow and garbage cans all around since tomorrow would be trash day. The after party was at Minna Gallery and was being hosted by a server company. The set up was really neat not too large but great for having two different sections. They segregated the music to hip hop on one wing and the rock one one end. the art work was amazing, i take it that they were done by local artist, since many of the paintings were based on SF scenery. The biggest thing that night was "The Open Bar" lets just say I probably killed about half the belvedere bottle and enjoyed the beer. I was surprised to see two fully stocked bars with atleast 8 different beers on tap. The servers were all very friendly but the crowd was whack, i mean what can you really expect from web developers and designers oops my bad i'm bashing my own people. Well perfect place to host a venue and I am sure that all your guests will be impressed. Just like me . Good stuff. oops i forgot to add that i should have tried to play the cool card by offering to buy a girl a drank hence the song that I cued up earlier. But I thought about it and it wasn't worth it in a oh so whack crowd.
