by Mikaela Mollica on Temple Billiards in Pioneer Square was the first pool hall that I frequented on a regular basis when I decided to spread my wings and leave the Eastside. With plenty of tables, a table on an awesome upper level that I was able to grab half the time I came, and decent prices for a pitcher of beer, this place was an easy choice. There always seemed to be a fair mixture of causal players and those who looked like they could earn a living working the tournament circuit. And for some reason one of the "Rocky" movies always seem to be on one of the TV's located in the place. I recently visited the place again after an extended absence of a few years. Not much has changed and that makes me happy. A place like this should remain timeless.

I thought that the interior was very nicely decorated, but I am not too sure what the whole upstairs section is about... that design was a bit off. However, the downstairs bar is beautifully lighted and there were more than enough bartenders so that service was pristine. Drinks were well made and moderately priced (although a bit expensive in my short Atlanta experience). I would come back here again, and I can't say that about most of the places I have been to so far in Atlanta.
by J. W. on Used to go every Monday night for years to hear a great live swing band and watch the dancers do their thing. Loved the desserts, drinks and the views. It was always packed to the gills late into the night. Then they pulled the plug on the live music and the swing in favor of a DJ playing "oldies". Haven't been back since. Too bad.
