I had been anxious to try this place for a while, since many people I know rave about it. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't the same. My dining partner and I ordered quite a few small plates so we could get a good sampling of what the restaurant has to offer. Not one of them was memorable except the gazpacho. The word bland once again comes to mind. Oh well, the wine and the company were at least good!

I love the El Rio.  Friday Happy hours are fantastic!  The patio rules!  Always a cool mixed crowd of what make SF a great city. **BIG UPS to DJ Cliff**
