by Ka Avelino on Wasn't a fan of the cheesecake ( had an almost chemical/super artificial taste) fro yo, nor the chocolate, the peanut butter was the only saving grace. The fruit flavors my other half picked up were much better than mine- raspberry and peach. I love the concept of this place, self serve yogurt, I got about 3 different flavors in my cup to try out and it only came to about 3.00. I also wish that you could sample the flavors before actually buying them, you don't receive a spoon until you pay and weigh your dessert. So *sigh* I was stuck with the nasty cheesecake. All the toppings looked fresh, and the place was very clean even with kids running all over the place. Service was friendly, perhaps I could bump it up to 3 stars next time if I stick to the fruit flavored fro-yo.
by alex d. on On Sundays, the live salsa music is fantastic on that patio! The dancing is inspired, the crowd is sometimes mixed ethnically, the attitude is festive and generally positive, and those margaritas are yummy. And any venue that supports community causes, should get extra bumps and fist pumps. I only wish I could dance salsa (I know there are lessons though). But watching the great dancing is part of the great fun. The only reason, I'd give it one less than a perfect five stars: There is one bartender (the woman with the short hair with the sour face) who makes lousy margaritas and serves it up with really nasty attitude in such a surprisingly upbeat place. I like that there are good places to eat nearby after the Sunday salsa and drinking here winds down.
