Never in the history of this Republic has there been so many opportunities to have a good hamburger in Atlanta. There are old school places like Ann's Snack Bar (which for purposes of full disclosure I have yet to try.  I'm not sure my health insurance covers it.). You have the pretty decent chains like Five Guys or Fatburger.  Then you have the "alternative" type burger places, like the Vortex, which I adore.  You have places like Serpas or Holeman and Finch which don't primarily serve a burger but have become known for them.  And then there's your cutting edge state of the art burger place.  I'm talking about Flip. This place is damn good.  We've been several times and haven't had a bad meal.  I usually have the standard flip burger.  my partner in crime usually tries out something new, but on our most recent venture to flip she had the turkey burger. Now if you've read our review of vortex, our last turkey burger experience that wasn't made by our own hands was quite the tragedy.  We were bloodied, but we were unbowed and had to try the turkey burger at flip.  That's how a turkey burger must be. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the burgers on the menu. As far as the rest of the menu, I'm going to say I don't care for the fries.  I don't know why. They just don't do it for me, and that's a shame because I look for good french fries like wingnuts look for obama's real birth certificate or bush's military records.   The onion rings and tots are very good, however.  but man, if i liked the fries, i'd eat here at least once a week. the milkshakes.  I like the krispy kreme a lot and the nutella is pretty damn good too. AND CAN I TELL YOU HOW MUCH I FRIGGIN LOVE THE FACT THAT THEY SERVE CHEERWINE?  I LOVE YOU RICHARD BLAIS.  Cheerwine is the nectar of the gods.  but i think they have stuff like nehi too, so there's something for you radar o'reilly acolytes. I think this place has quickly become one of the must go to places if you've got friends coming from out of town. Parking kind of sucks, you really couldn't pay me to cross Howell Mill around dusk or the evening (see above re: poor health insurance). the lines aren't bad if you get their before the usual rush hour and they only seat you if your full party is there. go.  have a cheerwine and a flip burger and a krispy kreme shake. you won't regret it.

Wonderful late night dining! Nearly everything I've tried has been fantastic. The scallops are consistently amazing quality. The tuna tartar is a must for an appetizer, absolutely delicious. High quality wait staff that is very attentive without hovering. Have also received very good wine recommendations to pair with the food.

To me, all clubs are similar, so if you are an affectionado, don't listen to my review.  I like this place because they do have a good DJ, lotsa space to dance so you aren't always being pushed into or stepped on, and there are lots of bars, so little wait for a drink. There is a covered smoking patio, so it's not cold when you are out there.  The lines probably start at like 9:30.  If you are with a cute girl, walk up to the guy with the clip board, just say you are on the guest list and he'll give you a ticket to get in and just go past the line.  There is another line for table/bottle service, but there isn't really a point for that unless you are just a bunch of dudes going and have a poor guy:girl ratio. Highlands is fun, but it is 20 bucks to get in.  If you are with the right people, just about any hip hop club will be fun. Oh, guys, don't go early.  There is 'Hollywood Men' playing there from 8-9:30,
