Forget about it. Walked in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Got a table right off, which is about the only thing that was done quickly and efficiently. I spent the entire meal pretty much picking apart what went wrong. And it is not a short list. Let me first say that if you are going to charge customers between 13 and 16 dollars at lunch, and up to 40 at dinner, you had better have your servers on their A game at all times, and that goes for the back of the house as well. I could write out the long step by step post of every little thing, but let me just sum up. 1, If the glassware is covered in water spots, please don't bring back glassware that is just as bad. 2. If the table is 3 guests, please remove the 4th setting. 3. Do not, as the server, stand at the table and tell us how upset you are at the dishwashers, and how bad of a job they do. Now I want to look at my plates and silverware as well. 4. If a table is done with appetizers, please remove the finished plates and silverware before attempting to serve the next course. Leaving the used app plates laying on the table until after I am done with the entree is just tacky. 5. If there is an error in the delivery of food, say bringing the entree out prior to the soup and salad, don't stand there and discuss this with your food runner RIGHT AT THE TABLE. Just apologize and fix the problem. Maybe even ask me what I would like you to do with the food. God knows I don't want you to take the food back to sit and die in the window while I eat my soup. 6. If you carry a crumber in your pocket, USE IT! I mean really, is it there just becuase it is part of your uniform, or do your managers perhaps want you to perhaps keep the tables tidy. 7. If the table tells you there is a problem, LISTEN. Then when you go tell your GM, he can come talk to the table with some idea of what the issue is, and not force us to repeat ourselves. 8. If you are the GM and you are responding to a customer complaint, like gritty unwashed chard on a dish, don't tell me that what you buy is prewashed and cleaned. We felt there was an issue. An "I'm sorry" and a "Let me fix that for you" is enough. Telling me that your product is ok is a roundabout way of telling me that I must somehow be mistaken about the issue. And that just pisses me off. I have to say that Maggiano's was disappointing. For the price point the service needs to improve. Dramatically. The food was meh. I was indifferent to the entire meal. Not one thing really made me feel I was getting my moneys worth. The staff, from front desk, to servers, to managers seemed to be more concerned with turning tables quickly and venting some server rage rather than making sure the guests have an enjoyable experience.

http://www.THERRAZZROO... If you're looking for cabaret entertainment in an intimate setting, come to the new Rrazz Room at the Hotel Nikko. My boyfriend and I came to see the awesome Paula West perform with the George Mesterhazy band this evening. Seriously, that woman has a strong, beautiful voice that everyone should hear. But this is her last week at the Nikko! I hear Keely Smith will be there next. Don't know who that is, but the rest of the audience seemed excited to hear about her. The Rrazz Room's space and atmosphere was perfect. Not too big and not too small. Booths along the wall and small intimate cocktail tables and votive lights everywhere. I think any seat in the house would've been good. What a perfect place to see upcoming acts like Ashford & Simpson, Bobby Caldwell, Oleta Adams and Elizabeth Withers! Oh and for you drinkers (like me) out there....they do serve cocktails, beer, and wine. Appetizers are also offered if you didn't get a chance to grab dinner before the show. Enjoy!!!
