I dont want to review WH. I wish rateclubs wuld stop asking. Its taunting me really, not asking. So, to make it go away I will review. Ive been going to WH for about 5 years now. Up until about 7 months ago i loved it. I still love it- once im inside. People really started complaining about WH about a year or so ago and I never understood what they meant. I never had a hard time getting in. Never though anyone was rude. Never even waited in any long lines. But then it happened. Lines can be ridiculous, the bouncers seems to be fed EGO on a regular basis (btw who tells bouncers they are god? they do know that they are men standing at a door being paid shit to tell drunk people what to do right? at least garbage men get paid well and dont have back talk) Each bouncer Ive encountered basically is looking to kick people out/not let people in. OK. I am not the bouncer, I wont make opinions. However, when you are searching out people to scream at and treat like shit resulting in keeping me standing in the rain (literally right next to the bouncer) then please...give it up. My latest experience was for Kyau & Albert. We got in line around 12am- we had already purchased tickets online. There was no line. We walked up o the door behind 4 "sailors" in uniform. They didnt seem drunk but i was not really paying attention- again, im not the bouncer. Next thing I knew i was being help back as he proceeded to scream at them. Very derogatory, accusing things, and saying they cant come in- ect ect. They walked away. The bouncer proceeds to scream then down the street. Leaving me, with PAID TICKET IN HAND to stand in the rain next to him until he had his fill of ignorant rants about shit he clearly knew nothing about. (ie just because a man is in a navy uniform doesnt even mean hes ever stepped foot on a boat...and more. the guy sounded like an idiot) Finally i rolled my eyes and asked to go in. I was just stared at. Apparently he had used all his words and was out now. My boyfriend just walked by and went in. I, on the other hand, wa still having a staring contest with Sir Groucho and didnt know what to do. I was abruptly pulled away by my BF as walking in i turned to the two women at the door hoping for assistance but was only greated with two matching blank stares. (someone, stop feedin the door ladies vodka or whatever it is that you give them that makes them this way) Alas...I was finally in. Not. So. Much. Now we had to be searched. No biggie. Like I said Ive been here a lot- i knew this was coming. What I did NOT know was that 5 or 7 girls about 12 years old all stood in my way. The lady searching them wanted to know why they were let passed the door. Thats a good question. But can you let me by? Nope. Again. Someone elses issue is holding me back from my night that i ALREADY PAID FOR. When I politely asked can i go by bc my friends are waiting (and pointed to them) I was again greeted with a stare that contained so little I worried if she had been body snatched. she was big and scary too.....so i wated. About 5 minutes. Finally in. Night was great, like I said- inside. Im a smoke (damn me to hell!) so each time i went out I was given another handful of shit. Either the door man woldnt let my BF back in...or me back in....or someone back in...or he was too busy kicking someone out. Or looking for his brain.... ugh. they are not trying to keep us safe. they are trying to make some sort of point. I dont get their point though- I think I have too much common sense/maturity to get it. cest la vie. Ill be back. Next time with mace, a stiff upper lip and a shit ton of cigarettes JUST TO PISS THEM OFF!

This place is exactly whats going wrong with The City!!! Bruno's used to be the spot. Cool people, cool staff, comfortable, low key, piano. Jacket and tie but not necesssary, dim lights, supper club, martini's and good food. WTF...all i can say now is it sucks. Posers, phonies, attitude, shit for food, lousy service, asshole doorman and bouncers (why do you need bouncers here?). Dont go here ever. They should turn this place into a dollar store to give it more class.
