The decor in this place is really interesting... and eye catching. When something's beautiful and Creeps McGeeps at the same time, it really makes for an interesting combo. As a starter I had the Tequila Shrimp Bisque. Tequila = good... Shrimp = good... Bisque = bomb. The dishes were all regular Mexican staples, but there was some really interesting flare attached to the presentation, and I thought they were delicious and just the right amount of PICANTE (I probably didn't use that right). The drinks were on the pricier side, so -1 star for that. Our server, though, was cool & kinda looked Robin Thicke-ish. (Just thought I'd throw that in for the ladies...)

I can't even begin to recall how many shows I have been here for, but it's up there. Legendary isn't even a word I could properly use to describe this venue. Everyone has played at least 10 times and then some. Is it a complete sh*t hole? No. Is it the best? No. Is it 100% Manhattan? Absolutely. I bring my own bottle water in...so I don't pay $500 for one at the show. I don't drink alcohol so I save on cash that way. If you drink...do yourself a favor and get blitzed before the show. heh.

I'm only reviewing to alert you all to an amazing new cocktail that's really not so new, but just newly discovered. Roe's French 75: fresh lemon, sugar, Bombay Sapphire and a float of Mumm Champagne served over ice with an orange twist. Mmm. Other than that, it was an eclectic crew on the Wednesday Happy Hour that I was there for. Great for people watching. Not so great for defining if this is the crew you want to align yourself with on a regular basis. A sucker for people watching I may be back, but most likely I'll keep up the search for a dependable Happy Hour local.
