I ended up here for a friend's birthday party and we actually had a really good time. The drinks were fine and the appetizers were OK - typical bar food. They let us bring in a birthday cake and cut it, which is unusual for places like this. They usually want you to pay them to supply you with a cake or some such nonsense (like the lanes at Chelsea Piers). We had a blast bowling and the cheesy "club" ambiance was hysterical. I think the "cheesy" factor goes well with bowling. The cheesier the better. I think this is a GREAT place for a birthday party. But I have to admit, though I had a good time, it really just made me wish that there were normal bowling lanes in the city, where you can show up in jeans and a T-shirt and drink beer, eat nachos, and really hang out.

Let me separate this review into two parts 1. Fun = 5 stars ( it's all about the company) 2. Club= 0 star reasons being 1. crowded area.. right next to time square. difficult to get to 2. uptight doorman bouncer. ( definitely for tourist, cause true new yorker wouldn't put up with that shit) 3. venue, very disappointing.. I don't get the concept at all 4. Music, wacks times to times 5. coat-check lady.. can you be any dumber??? I guess average out this place really only deserves my 2 stars.
