by clara g. on The actual Slide wasn't open for NYE...oh well, last night was my first time at Slide and it was pretty fun. I liked how they had party favors and finger foods for the event... I didn't care for the mash ups that the DJ played but he played a real big selection which was a plus. it was crowded probably because it was NYE... I would definitely want to come here on a regular weekend.
by eurie c. on i ended up here for a private screening of a doc that my friend produced and then it turned into an evening of music. there was tasty jambalaya served and some kick ass apple brown betty. i have no idea if this was because of the film event or a regular thing that happens on a saturday, but it was awesome. i liked the vibe of the place. great high ceiling and pretty large area for enjoying the acts, or dancing, if that's your thing. i looked at the line-up, and don't foresee me running to shows there every week, but it's a good place that's very artist friendly. if you have any sort of film/music event, i would recommend booking here.
