The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars (ahhh- just ok!!!) is because our bartender last night was a biatch... I do apologize for having to use this word... I gave 7 years to the service industry and not once did I speak to a paying customer like this. (I have no idea why my bf tipped her) We got there, asked for a drink menu - miss biznatch goes, we don't have one right now but we can make cosmo's, etc... no shit you should be making a cosmo, your a bartender... Anywho- we ordered; I got a cosmo, and my bf got a dirty martini... she filled the glasses halfway... not like I later saw her fill other people's glasses. My bf hands her a 20 - mind you she didn't even tell us what we owe. So- we go ahead and ask her, what was the total... she goes hold on, are you guys in a rush. We said no, she was switching over to a new register - so she goes, seems like your in a hurry - total bitch face/attitude!!! whatever- we paid and sat down! the cosmo was blah- couldn't taste the alcohol at all... The ambiance- deserves 5 stars. It's very relaxing, the kinda place where in one corner you can sit with your laptop and do whatever you need. The other corner with a fireplace, loungy area where u can relax and enjoy your drink. and then the bar area, very sheik. despite the poor service, we will most likely return!

Wow surprised a lot of people hate on this place. The bartenders are nice and its never really hard to get a drink or get their attention (they make strong ones too), the music is typical sf club music- old and new hip hop, and all the guys that work security are really really great and do a good job. My only gripe would be the size, its a pretty small place, so it gets pretty hot and crowded on the dance floor!

great salsa lessons on monday nights!! you pay $7 and get 2 hours of lessons. i was surprised to see such a great turnout on a monday night! after the lessons, you get to practice what you learned when the dj comes out. i need to come during the wknds when there are live bands, but i would have to practice my steps at home first!
