by YaoYao W. on This place is the BOMB. As far as I know, you definitely have to pay to get in, but it's well worth it. Free tacos and chocolate covered strawberries? Munchies galore! The inside is getting a tad old but it's still one of the best clubs in LA. I don't remember much of anything else, just that I had a great time.

The space is a piece of SF history,formerly a jazz and soul nightclub back in the day.It still has the same red wallpaper,and cozy feel.Dark and warm interior,great jukebox,pooltable in back,this is one of the few neighborhood spots left on divisadero.The food is incredible!Huge plates of comfort food.Luckily all of the cool youngsters go to the other cool bars,and you can always get a seat at Waziema.Gedet and Nebiat are the friendly owners,and they are always behind the bar or in the kitchen.
