The Chop House Burger with Cheddar and Bacon - it's the 2nd best burger in Austin and the 12th best burger in Texas according to Texas Montly http://www.texasmonthl... - it's consistently the best burger I've ever had in my life, yes even better than any home grilled/made one - it's the first burger I've ever had where I didn't crave any condiments like mayo, mustard or ketchup. - order it medium rare with the bacon and cheddar, no condiments the patty is char broiled - the fries are super good, not steak fries - the slaw option instead of fries is also excellent, top quality The Cover 3 Press - the gin based cousin of mojito - i ask them to leave off the sprite to make it less sweet Cover 3 is an upscale sports bar. The weekend before there had been a small car show sponsored by Ferrari of Austin which drew a small gathering of privately owned exotics. The second time I visited this place was incidentally the NBA finals. My attire of shorts and a tee-shirt was clearly underdressed. Not that they will turn you away, but I wasn't up to par. There is a great lounge area upstairs to chill at while you wait for your table; better than the outdoor area which is too hot in the summer as it catches the afternoon sun. The most impressive thing was the bevy of beautiful women that night. Two devils in blue dresses at tables full of single girls... seriously this had to be violating some undiscovered law of physics... at the least I'm sure these girls would not have liked to see their doppelganger under the same roof. Walking out of the place my friends and I simultaneously voiced whether we should go back in as we passed a two smoking girls going the opposite direction.

I've been to the DNA Lounge many many times, and I've always had a great time there. The drinks are good - and strong - and the music varied and loud with a decent sound system. If you want a safe, fun place to go and enjoy mashups, burlesque, goth, industrial, death metal, battle of the bands, or countless other live shows then this is your place. The staff can be strict but that's partly what keeps the place safe; I've always found them efficient and courteous. Also, the new kitchen is a bonus for a quick snack; or there are plenty of food choices nearby if you need pizza or crepes. Tip: Try the absinthe bar for some more unusual cocktails - they're great.
