Hands down, one of the best clubs I have been to EVER! You gotta visit Mango's and party if you are in Miami Beach! We partied there not once, but twice during our 4 day stay at Miami Beach early this year. Getting in was the easiest thing ever. They do have lines if you decide to come in post midnight. If you get in before midnight, it's around $10 to $20 depending upon which nights you go. We ended up shelving a little more to get in since we went on a packed night. BUT, get in touch with a nice waitress and become girlfriends with her, you are sure to get a free drink (which is a blessing, since prices for alcoholic beverages are through the roof in Miami Beach) Speaking of waitresses, these are some of the nicest and non-snobby girls you'll meet. There's a whole carnival atmosphere in the club. The waitresses and waiters moonlight as dancers. Girls, you might wanna go here because the men strip down to pretty much nothing and are good eye-candy :-) Guys, the same applies to the waitresses. They have salsa and samba performances too, which are enthralling. The alcohol is priced the same as everywhere else in South Beach. Expensive!! But totally worth it. The club serves coconut rum shots with every drink you purchase. There are 3 different dance rooms. The lower floor where most of the performance are held plays Latin american music. The 2 dance floor upstairs, one plays current hip hop and the other plays reggae. The crowd is decent. You'll find a mix of older people and youngsters. I wouldn't bother much about the crowd. Everyone's out to have fun. Surprisingly, the bouncers are pretty nice! My husband and I had 2 nights of fun here. Makes me miss SoBe right now. Would we go back? Hells yeah!! :-D PS: Guys, you can walk-in wearing shorts :-D

My first Ethiopian dining experience and it was a damn good one! I came here with a group of 8 friends. We rolled in around 9pm for dinner and snuggled into a booth. The band was warming up and we were all really looking forward to the entertainment. Our server was brilliant. She scored big points with all of us. Her cool personality made us feel really comfortable and happy. She was awesome!! Checking up on us and making sure everyone was satisfied. When I return for a second visit I hope I sit in her section. The Funk and Soul Jazz band (didn't catch the name) was amazing! They even got me to dance a little jig on the impromptu dance floor. Oh man, there was this one guy who was breaking out some dance moves that I've never seen before. He reminded me of the male version of Elaine on Seinfeld. He had all of us cracking up. So great! I shared the Doro Wat dish which was chicken simmered in a spicy barbecue sauce, garlic, ginger, cardamom and onion. Perfect balance of spicy, savory and sweet. I really enjoyed this dish. I love the "bread" that's used to scoop up all the yummy goodness. It's this spongy crepe like bread that soaks up all the juicy meat and veggies - brilliant. I tried the honey wine which is really sweet and not my fav but it complimented the spicy food. If you like dessert wine, you'll really enjoy it. Overall this is a fantastic restaurant and great venue to see live jazz.

Martuni's is my favorite place in San Francisco, hands down. The drinks are creative, strong, large, inexpensive, and - oh yeah - taste great. The bartenders have some serious skillz. The live piano music is so much fun - I'm always smiling. The customers create an amazing mix that is friendly, diverse, and lively - never once have I been in the bathroom line and not struck up a conversation. The atmosphere is dark and loungy and really condusive to making any kind of event great. Best of all, Martuni's is the only place in this city where the staff remember me. This is huge! A warm smile and "Hey! How have you been?" from Glen and a hug and quick life update from Tommy always helps to make my night. Go to Martuni's, get wasted, have a great time!!!
