by Vicki T. on Being the deal seeker that he is, the fella came across a ticket steal via Facebook for the Improv in Hollywood. For only $7/ea. we came to the Improv on a Wednesday night for 'Comedy Juice.' From 10pm-midnight, we, as well as everyone else in the house, laughed nonstop to several famous comedians (esp. Bobby Lee from Mad TV.) I've been to a couple other Improv locations (Ontario & Brea) and both are more spacious in comparison to this one. Even though smaller in space, the experience & service was still just as pleasant. We stuck with the minimum two drink buy, but I'm not too sure how strict they are with enforcing that rule. Parking wasn't too much of a problem for us; the fella read that rateclubsers suggested street parking, so we found a fairly decent spot a couple blocks down from the Improv.
by Alan Moench on Finally got to the club that everyone had been talking about. Very nice inside, lots of dancing room, but on a Saturday night, be prepared for the crowd. Also, $10 cocktails make it extremely hard for me to want to buy a drink. At least the drinks were strong enough to get me buzzin. This place is ok, but I wouldn't pay $20 cover to come in here. Thank goodness I didn't. You can get drunk for $20 at any bar and have fun.
