I love the month of June because it gives me the chance to venture outside of NYC, visiting other cities and see how they celebrate their pride. This year, one such city happened to be Philadelphia. My friend and I arrived at Gay Pride Philadelphia and were horrified at the entire gay scene. Where is the diversity?Where are the minorities? Where are the transgenders? Where is the unity? Where is the love? Nevertheless, we decided to tough it out and see what the city of brotherly love had to offer but escaped Penns Landing and drove over to the gayberhood. Rumor had it, if you were looking for a good lesbian party Sisters was the place to go. Let's just say the rumor was wrong! The staff were rude! The patrons were even ruder. The racial segregation was blatant ! The DJ/music requests were ignored! The drinks were garbage. The ONLY nice thing about this that was great about this place was its size.

I ONLY have on small gripe, and it's more directed toward Swan Neck Vodka for running out of the free stuff early.. I HAD A BLAST HERE! The place is simply decorated, roomy for a small club, and the bartenders were efficient! Andrew Phelan and Sen-Sei rocked the house and people overall seemed to have a great time! THe SOund system in there is bangin as well, you couldn't help but to dance to the beat that's just straight IN YOU FACE!!! I TOTALLY missed the small seperate room, but I bet there was good music in there, too. Bouncers weren't trying to be hardcorps and the place was FAR from pretentious. I'm so glad rateclubs picked this place for the March Venue! =) Left that place stumbling after showing off my dance skills and my trademark "Mating call dance".... But only went as far as part 2 with my dance.
