by Luciano Linares on Awesome bar/dance club combo. Easily accessible off the freeway, with tons of nearby parking. TWO bars and cool bartenders meant that getting drinks was relatively easy, despite the crowds at the rateclubs event. Great music. The area near the stage was perfect for dancing (even equipped with a fan), then there were other nooks and crannies (including a back room!) for lounging around and chilling or trying to exchange comments while leaning in to be heard. For real conversations there was an outdoor patio area. The one issue I had with the space was the mini-step inbetween the first bar and the dance area - that could have been dangerous. Or a meet-cute story in the making, it depends. The rateclubs event was well done, hats off to the organizers and all the cool people who showed up to party. rateclubs parties = the BEST parties. I snagged a few of those tasty meatballs at the beginning of the night from the Goat Hill Pizza guys. Even better than the pizza! The Swan's Neck Vodka cocktails were smooth, strong, and delicious - if I wasn't the DD I would have happily enjoyed more.
