by Uncle D. on Hill-Bert's is one of Austin's great CBE's (Classic Burger Experiences), and one of only a few locally-owned old-school burger joints. These are solid burgers, made to order and in the slightly greasy, slightly smashed variety. The onion rings are awesome (perfect batter, not too thin or thick), and the butter-fat malts are the best in town. The huge windows with the bank of bar-stools give the place great "Waffle House" kind of character.
