by Kenny Biley on I came here for NYE 2009 when they opened it with Crimson and I had a lot of fun! The crowd seemed pretty cool and classy..not bad looking...but perhaps my judgment was distorted due to the number of Redbull Vodkas I had hehe. I don't know if I missed it but I'm bitter because I never got the party favors and champagne they were supposed to come with the ticket. Cheapskates!!! Lol jkjk. Anyways...I haven't been here on a regular night but I plan to check it out soon...and hopefully the crowd will appear good-looking to me when I'm actually sober lol.
by Ricky Przygocki on Lord jesus. The saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Well, Touch has indeed broken something that was perfectly fine to begin with. I used to go to this place back when it was T-NY and it was off the chain (did I really just say that?). The music was great; current hip hop and some old school on the main floor with salsa, bachata, merengue, etc. upstairs. Drinks were pricey but strong enough to get you messed up pretty quickly. The crowd was pretty ghetto, but fun for the most part. Few wallflowers or anything of the sort. Fast forward to today. The Midtown hip hop haven once known as T-NY has been transformed into a euro trash, B&T riddled, pretension filled hell. Touch is the poor man's Bungalow 8; a bootleg Pink Elephant; a ripoff of every exclusive Meatpacking district club ever. Gone are the friendly bouncers of T-NY's glory days. In their place are outrageously rude mutant gorillas who are more concerned with flirting with the over dyed, over tanned and under dressed skanks that frequent this hell hole. They are known for barking orders at anyone on the city block to clear the sidewalk. Is your last name Bloomberg, motherfucker? Damn, you don't own the street! Can't a bitch walk in peace?? Once inside (if you even get past the security), you'll find a nice combo of all of the evils that plague the NYC metropolitan area. The guidos, the B&T idiots, the old, weird men who are stuck in a painful mid life crisis, the bimbettes, the euro hipsters, and pretty much everyone else who sucks. Sure, the decor is nice, but the scum lining the walls pretty much overshadows any good interior decorating. I wouldn't recommend that even my worst enemy go here. The place has sadly gone to shit and any chance of it recovering is slim. Save your money and watch Night at the Roxbury for a comparable experience.
