You're probably not going to find this place on your first visit out there, it's nestled at the top of the Mission district by some non descript warehouses. Took me awhile to find it myself. Entering the place you'll enter an obviously converted warehouse setting, welcoming of course, but the large space makes you wonder what else would have gone on here back in the day. Me and my group came relatively early in the day so there were only a few people in the restaurant although it started to get busier as the night went on. We missed out on the jazz show, but from what I hear, this is the time to show up, when usually start around 8-9 (basically when the musicians show up). Food wise, I was impressed. My table decided to go family style on the orders so I was able to sample from a few different orders. Scallops were excellent. Make sure you grab an order of the risotto as well. And to finish off, get some pork loin as well. Everything that came by the table was delish. They also have a sizeable list of drinks, I usually go for the cocktails myself and was not disappointed with their offerings (enough sweet drinks to satisfy me!) I would love to come back here when the music is playing, although you'll have to pay a cover charge if you go for the club/lounge version of Coda. I had a great time here, although nothing super amazing to give it that extra 5th star just yet.

Great venue to see a show. Recently caught the M. Ward acoustic/ V. Williams show. It was very special. The space is spread like an ornate cake across a velvety atmosphere of cherry and charcoal. I don't know how they make much money -- the property taxes alone must be a challenge. And shows are usually well-priced, as are drinks. However, I'm diggin' it all the way.
