I went here for a birthday party. The last time I had been here was for another organized event which to my recollection had gone smoothly. So I figured that since the party hostess had "reserved" the 2nd floor and we would be able to skip the line/cover before 10pm, it would make for a fun evening. The 2nd "floor" of this place is actually not a terrible place. We arrived before the 10pm deadline and the 1st floor was already crowded, but we had some couches, a waitress, and ample space to socialize and dance without having to deal with the rest of the clientele. Around 10:45, however, things went awry. This is when a bouncer came barging into the area yelling at us, "Everyone has to go! You gotta get up and go!" Um, pardon us? What the hell kind of power trip are you on, kid? This guy made us feel like we were getting KICKED OUT of the bar with no explanation. Many of us had tabs open with the waitress, who was very sweet and apologetic. As we were waiting to close our tabs, the awesome bouncer told us he was just doing his job and we needed to check our attitudes and channel it to the appropriate place, his bosses. I know the bouncers have to deal with a lot of obnoxious drunks. However, we had been there for less than an hour and were all quite coherent and sober. The appropriate way to handle this situation would be to find the hostess, tell her there was another party booked, and then SHE would tell her guests they had to vacate the area. If you want to do your job, bouncers, you should respect the situation and not be a jerk unless you have to be. On the plus side, our waitress was very nice and got me a Magners even though that's not an option on the 2nd floor for no rational reason. Also, why the heck would anyone want to come here for their bachelorette party? I'm judging, I know, but....just no.

I met Baron Davis here last night and it was F-ing awesome...if only Stephen Jackson was there with him, it would have been a perfect evening. So my friend Allison and I are waiting at the bar to order our drinks and these guys next to us start talking about how Baron Davis is at the bar.  I start to get really excited and then I look to my left behind the bar and I see a thickly bearded profile that can only belong to one man...Boom Dizzle... So now I am really excited.  I mean Baron Davis is standing like 3 feet away from me. OMG.  I am so star struck.  So Allison and I order our drinks and start waiting till he gets up to leave so we can talk to him.  While we are waiting the following conversation occurs... Guy: (after we get our drinks) "I'll get those for you." Allison: "Really?" (I mean we know we are really sexy, but we just got 2 of the most expensive drinks and we haven't even talked to you yet) Guy: "Sure." (as he pays) I slowly put my cash away, say thanks and turn to Allison... Allison (to me): "What do we do now?" Me: "Let's talk to them, I feel bad." Allison (to guy): "So where do you guys work?" Guy: "Look, just because I bought you a drink doesn't mean you have to talk to me." Me: "Rude." Allison: "Um, ok." We talk to him anyway...we're sexy and really nice.  The entire time we were talking though I was batting my eyes and making kissy faces at Baron Davis....JK I am not that crazy. So finally Baron gets ready to leave and as he's walking up to us I make my move and go up and shake his hand and tell him how cool I think he is...I am spaz.  Allison plays it much cooler and shakes his hand and introduces herself.  I'm like, F-word, why didn't I do that, so I shake his hand again and introduce myself and he smiles, but really he probably thinks I'm really crazy...which would be true.  I don't care though, I met Baron Davis and you didn't so be jealous, be very jealous. Oh yeah, besides meeting Baron Davis here, this place is ok.  The only thing is that it was definitely still light out and they were bumping the music like it was clubbing time... The only reason this place gets five stars is because they have Baron Davis as a patron and oh, yeah if you didn't hear I MET HIM...yes, I know I am obsessed and I need to calm down...100 Stars for Baron Davis
