by Becky W. on I went to The Mayan toward the end of June this year to see Gogol Bordello. I love the venue! It was small enough for a very energetic and cozy feel when the band played, but big enough to accommodate everyone! Sure, the floor was packed, but that is normal. The drinks we got were very well done. My pansy Screwdrivers were perfectly done, and they went down easily! It seemed like the only parking choices were nearby lots with "Parking for Mayan $10.00" signs near their driveways. However, I didn't drive, and honestly didn't notice other parking alternatives! All-in-all, a great venue, and I loved it!
by Linwood Sousa on Mediocre, bland food. Nice old building, but it's not like New York is wanting for those. "I shouldn't trust a single local opinion over checking rateclubs," I thought as we ate here with a friend. But it looks like rateclubs would have failed us, too.
