by Selina Katoa on Yoshi's is rapidly becoming a bay area institution. Top notch entertainment, astonishing bartenders. Knowledgeable barkeep named waide helped me navigate the drink page which was a list of classic cocktails abridged to suite the modern atmosphere/pallet. Sometimes a better time can be had on weeknights when it isn't quite as busy. I poke my head in for a quick drink just to see if I am compatible with the act. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - but always worth a try.

by Doug P. on *Review pertains to weekend nightlife/bar-scene only* I am tempted to give this place 2 stars for the reasonable view from the rooftop, but the general rudeness of the roof bar staff as well as the cattle of patrons that seem to expect (and possibly necessitate) this type of verbal abuse contribute to a bar experience only pleasant if you manage to hardly communicate with any others outside your group. From the $10 cover you pay to buy weak drinks to the bus positioned out front making it clear this is not a local crowd, my second negative experience this past weekend mandated I create a rateclub account just to ensure others are informed ahead of time.
