by Felton Nieman on If you go to Sherlocks during the day, its ok. Not great, but ok. If you go at night, just expect a lot less. The selection of people at Sherlocks at night ranges from some semi-cool people to complete douchebags. Usually more douchebags and douchettes than cool people, so make sure to bring the cool people with you. The gameroom - This is actually the only reason I gave it two stars. If you can get a table, get some friends round. It can be a true blast. The waitresses in this area are usually pretty good as well. The middle/entry - Great for chatting with friends, food, and drinks. Waitstaff is meh, ranging from neglectful to decent. The band room - They do get some decent good coverbands in there, if you like coverbands, and it can get pretty lively. However getting a drink in that section is pretty difficult. If you can find a table which there are (took me 3 visits to actually see one working) waitresses which will take your drink orders, if you can manage to flag them down. You can generally expect your drink in the next half hour. Since the room is loud, any misunderstandings on your drink order will be considered "your fault" by the waitress, and you will be charged accordingly. Also, it seems that if you don't close out your tab once happy hour prices end, then all your drinks will show up on your tab as full price no matter what time you ordered them. Its easier in the band room to go to the bar and get your own drinks, but you have to battle the crowd and hope to find someone friendly enough to move so you can access the bar. I really cringe anytime I'm invited to go to Sherlocks, and avoid it whenever possible.

It was both exciting but also extremely disturbing. If you want to pay $10+ per drink and watch demented european-vampire-bondage porn, by all means go. And the music? Totally awesome-ly strange. If you want to recreate the Harlot experience in the privacy of your own home I reccomend the following: -box of Franzia -cds - She Wants Revenge, 80's, techno -download alot of foreign porn, dogfights and rotating disco ball footage note: I only noticed these things because I was sober. You probably wont.
by Caroline C. on The happy hour thing on Friday is great and the drinks are fine but they're small and even when I tipped and was charming and have never really had a problem getting bartenders to pour my drinks stronger and better each time, these bartenders jus weren't hooking it up. What a waste.
