The brunch menu was fairly limited, but it was pretty good. The crab cake benedict isn't anything to write home about, but it's worth it if you just want to try something different. The walnut banana bread was the bomb dot com..which says something when it's a complementary food item for breakfast...I'll have to come back to try the pizza. I really liked it for the outdoor/sun room seating. It's huge. I have a thing for restaurants with high ceilings and gorgeous views.

4 Stars for Yoshi's as a Jazz club 2 Stars for Yoshi's as a Sushi restaurant First off the I knew going in that there sushi couldn't be that good considering its more of a jazz joint than a sushi restaurant, but I was still really disappointed with 1) my sashimi plate and 2) the service. The sashimi plate was just not very fresh, in fact I left half of it uneaten :( The service was pretty slow, the show was almost at its half point before our waitress came to get our orders.  Regardless if the house was packed or not, they should have enough servers to accommodate everyone. As a Jazz club, I was very happy with Yoshi;'s- the performance was great and the decor and setup of the club was also nice- a large modern room filled with little tables all facing a crimson draped stage. Altogether I would recommend going to Yoshi's for the JAZZ, not the food! Perhaps you could eat beforehand at the restaurant next door- 1300 on Fillmore--I haven't been there before but have been told by friends that it is very good (fried chicken).

For a club, this place is pretty good! I was here for an after-party during fashion week, which I was on a list for, so I don't have any experience or knowledge of what the lines may be like on a regular night. But I can say that the atmosphere is one of the nicest, especially for a club. There is a place where you can sit down and talk which is situated behind the speakers, so you don't have to scream. Genius. The drinks are pretty standard.
