by Liz C. on My favorite club in Hollywood. Plenty of seating, great music, strong drinks, clean facility, and the bathroom lady is so friendly. I've never encountered any kind of problem at Opera. I only remember having a great time with my girls. Not so much the boys, ha ha ha.
by Clarinda Grella on My first time at the Avalon was good. I went with a few friends to see Sander Kleinenberg. This is definately a club you can dance the night away till the early AM hours. It would have been nice to see lasers. Visuals and lights were good. When we were seated at our table I looked out on the dance floor and I was amazed to see it full of 40+ Asians. Not to mention they were totally off their arses on something. Not that Asians bother me I just didn't expect it as I am used to seeing a diverse crowd. There were so many I really felt like I was in a foreign country. Not sure if it was because I was drunk but I could only find one toilet. Its not very often that I go to a club where there is a line for the mens room. Drinks from the bar are priced a little on the high side. Overall I had a good night. I would go back again but I am a little put off by the older Asian crowd.
