I had fun dancing but I would never come again. We got a private room with karaoke for my friend's birthday. The karaoke was fun, but it was expensive! Came with two bottles of hard liquor, I think Grey Goose and something else. Some fruit plate, a couple of Cokes and water bottles. Lots of guys. Something about this place.. I don't know.. And I remember my guy friends were sad because the booking was relatively unsuccessful for them. They only got one female stranger.

This place was previously known as Stork, a lounge/bar which I never had the chance to experience however, I really like this new spot H.Wood. The location was a little hard to find because its hidden behind Grauman's Chinese Theater and tucked in a corner above Orange St. It may be a little difficult to locate but once you get there, your sure to have a good time. The guy at the "rope" was extra friendly, my friend and I got in with absolutely NO hassle and NO drama. A lot of places give MAJOR tude as if your about to attend a bash that Oprah is throwing. My favorite line from 95% of the door monkeys in LA is, "What are you here for?" WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK I'M HERE FOR FOOLIO?? I'm here to study the genealogy traits of such brainless apes as yourself. Geez. REALLY. We experienced none of that BS at H.Wood. Cruised right in, got a drink and danced to some REALLY good house music. The music was not what I expected and I danced all night long. (Saturdays is a "house" night so I was pretty damn happy.) The main room (where the DJ spins) feels like an over sized living room, cozy but there's definitely enough space to shake yer booty. There's a sitting area next to the back bar where people can chill and hang out... this area is nice because normally the only people who get the luxury of sitting are people that order bottle service. This area is believe it or not, FREE to sit and rest your tired chicken legs. There was a downstairs section too, but it was closed. I would go back for sure and I would definitely recommend it if your a house music lover :)
